Wisconsin is home to so many festivals, it’s no surprise that there are three favorites to visit this weekend. Check out our recaps of each festival below, and enjoy a weekend full of Wisconsin festivals and fairs.

Fish Day — Port Washington
Enjoy the world’s largest one day outdoor fish fry this Saturday, June 20 at Port Washington’s Port Fish Day. Established in 1964, this festival celebrates the natural environment and culture in Port Washington, centered around some delicious fish! The Fish Day Eve Carnival kick starts the celebration on Friday July 19 at 6pm. Prepare for a full day of activity on Saturday, with the Fish Day menu in place at eight different stands. Live entertainment can be seen on five musical stages, and best of all, entrance to the festival grounds is free! Enjoy a beautiful day this weekend and see all that Port Washington has to offer.

Festa Italiana — Milwaukee
Festa Italiana is Milwaukee’s celebration of Italian heritage, held this weekend at the Henry Maier Festival Grounds. Seven stages and tents offer everything from modern rock to classic Italian opera for your entertainment all day. The traditional Festa Mass will open Sunday’s festivities, and the doors open at 10:15am for 11am mass.

Other opportunities for fun at Festa include tricks for cooking at home at La Cucina Showcase, where celebrity chefs will teach you all about the art of Italian cooking. Festa’s newest offering is the Festa Uncorked Passport, where you can taste over 36 varieties of delicious wine. If you taste something you love, don’t wait — buy a glass at any stand! Be sure to catch the lakefront fireworks show each night at dusk. At Festa, everyone’s Italian, so come down to enjoy food, wine and live entertainment all weekend long.

Waukesha County Fair — Waukesha
The Waukesha County Fair is in full swing this week and weekend at the Waukesha Expo Grounds. Wisconsin’s oldest fair is turning 171 this year and is the largest event in Waukesha County. With barnyard animals, crafts, foods, farm displays and the midway, there’s something for everyone at this county fair. A fan favorite activity is the truck and tractor pull, held at the action center on the north side of the fair grounds.

Nightime entertainment includes various musical acts on five stages. Headlining the fair Friday at 8pm is Cheap Trick, with other acts in the coming days featuring Slaughter and the Great White and oldies favorite The Spinners. Sides stages are filled with local talent and bands from around the area, so stay at night to enjoy all that the fair has to offer!
