Materials Needed

  • Heavy Plastic Roll
  • Ten $2 Pool Noodles
  • Sprinkler Hose
  • Peel-and-Stick Velcro

  1. Lay out the heavy sheet plastic on your yard or assembly site.  The best placement is on a gentle downhill slope. Measure out the space you’ll place your slide, and cut the plastic.
  1. Lay the pool noodles around the perimeter of your plastic slide.
  1. Starting at one end, take a pool noodle and lay it on the plastic a few inches from the outside edge. Pull the plastic over the pool noodle as you’re going to wrap a present.
  1. Attach the Velcro to the plastic at each end and in the middle of the noodle. Do this for every noodle around the perimeter of the plastic. Once the Velcro is completed, flip over your slide.
  1. To keep it simple, place your slide on a slight incline and run the hose from the top of the slide. For more money, pick up a 50 foot sprinkler hose and place on the top of the hill.
  1. Ta-Da! Enjoy your Slip ‘N’ Slide and stay cool on the hot summer days.
